Today I had the privilege of helping a person with a case against their landlord where the front steps to their house were so weak that she stepped through the steps. The landlord says that the steps must have been broken by someone running into them with a car, but we found a witness to the steps being cracked even before my client rented the house. The landlord is being difficult about it. Sometimes, people just won’t accept responsibility for their actions and want to take advantage of other people. This caused her tenant to seek the help of a lawyer. So, don’t think people will always do what’s right. They often try to avoid being responsible despite knowing they are at fault. This requires us to file a lawsuit and go to court. More importantly, it requires an good attorney who can gather the evidence and present it in court in a persuasive manner.
